Kali. Hand-colored lithograph, 1883. Calcutta Art Studio, Calcutta
It’s funny; a currently-running religious soap opera that my mom watches claims that Kali sticks out her tongue when she steps on the corpse of Shiva in the charnel-grounds because she is a pious wife who is shocked out of her apocalyptic destructive rage by the impiety of stepping upon her husband. (feet are dirty, this is very disrespectful, etc)
I guaran-fucking-tee you that that is not what this imagery is about.
It’s easy to become a raincloud this time of year. Keep your mind and body warm!
Simon must have the most luscious hair of all the prosecutors. Gavin included.
